吃瓜黑料网 will once again take center stage as a key creative partner and host venue for the internationally recognized 鈥� bringing filmmakers, artists, and thousands of visitors to campus. The event will be held Thursday, March 5, through Sunday, March 8.
Each year, True/False draws nearly 40,000 attendees to Columbia, positioning Stephens as both a cultural hub and a national-facing destination for creative storytelling.
This year鈥檚 festival will feature film screenings, live music, art installations, educational programming, and special campus-hosted events 鈥� offering students and visitors an immersive experience at the intersection of art, education, and community.
Spotlight on Student Filmmakers聽
Stephens talent will also be represented on screen.
Acting majors Luke Holden and Avery McDonald, both students in the Filmmaking I course, have had their work accepted into the festival鈥檚 .
Holden鈥檚 film, I Blame Chalamet, and McDonald鈥檚 film, Alone, will be featured as part of the showcase 鈥� a major accomplishment that underscores Stephens鈥� commitment to experiential learning and student creativity.
鈥淕imme Truth only programs ten two-minute films, so for Stephens to occupy 20% of the lineup is pretty special,鈥� said Chase Thompson, Associate Professor of Film and Program Chair. 鈥淚t鈥檚 always one of the first True/False events to sell out, and I鈥檓 just thrilled Luke and Avery get to have this experience on the Blue Note stage.鈥�
Camp True/False Returns to Campus聽
A highlight of the weekend is the return of聽, an educational program designed to introduce high school filmmakers to the art of nonfiction storytelling.聽
This year鈥檚 Camp True/False is expected to host more than 35 student participants 鈥� with additional attendees anticipated. It鈥檚 an opportunity for students to attend a film screening together and participate in hands-on workshops led by Stephens faculty alongside festival instructors, providing students with real-world insight into filmmaking and production.
Camp True/False represents a powerful recruitment and engagement opportunity 鈥� introducing emerging filmmakers to Stephens鈥� creative community during one of the city鈥檚 most visible cultural moments.
Special Alumni & Community Event聽
Stephens will also host聽鈥溾�� a happy hour for filmmaking and MFA alumni with special guest, President Shannon Lundeen.听听
This gathering celebrates Stephens鈥� creative legacy while strengthening connections between alumni, current students, and visiting artists.
